After a busy day with meetings starting at 7:00 am downtown I arrived home in the late afternoon on a beautiful dry sunny spring day. I was thinking to myself we keep saying “We don’t get out to golf, next year we are going to golf”. So I called up stairs to my husband’s office “How be we go out and hit a few ball”. His reply “I can’t take the time”.
I felt disappointed and though to myself while if he thinks he can’t he is right but I am sure he could. A few minutes later he said what the heck let’s go. So we put the clubs in the car and headed to the local par three, played the front 9 holes and had a great time. I even shot two pars and he got a birdie!
Later he said you know I had to change my mind about thinking that I couldn’t take the time. So he did and started thinking of course I can take the time. He did and he felt great for it. He went back into his office after our game and got more done in ½ the time. It made me think of the quote from Henry Ford, “If you think you can, or if you think you can’t, you are right”.
We so often restrict ourselves with non-productive thoughts, ideas and beliefs. When we fully grasp the theory of thoughts are thing the science behind it and how that works we can move mountains.

Through my studies I have found it very interesting how our sub-conscious mind creates our outcomes. In simple terms we perceive things a certain way, create a belief around it and that belief goes into our sub-conscious mind. We now have a sub-conscious belief about a certain thing/action and the next time that thing/actions come along in our lives we react instantaneously from that sub-conscious belief we formed.
So often these instantaneous reactions do not support what we want in our lives on a conscious level but we don’t know how to change it or why we are sabotaging our selves.
